To kick off the new training year, our trainees visited the Deutsches Museum in Munich. There, they experienced the fascinating world of science and technology through a wide variety of exhibits, interactive demonstrations, and exciting experiments.Over lunch, the “new and returning” trainees had the chance to get to know each other even better before heading back to Kelheim by bus in the afternoon.

Works council chairman Jürgen Hierl and managing director Alexander Kosik welcomed numerous employees to the company meeting. The focus was on honoring long-serving employees, which is always a special pleasure for Mr. Kosik: 40 years: Josef Donauer25 years: Josef Gaßner, Johannes Nerb, Claudia Pfaller, Stefan Vogl, Wolfgang Weitzer10 years: Michael Angerer, Christian Eberl, Thomas Frohberg, Yunus Emre Kalpaslan, Jonas Lechermann, Manfred Peter, Fabian Raith, Daniel Windecker In addition, three employees were bid farewell as they entered their well-deserved retirement:Josef Donauer, Werner Haselhahn, Wolfgang Schmid Mr. Kosik thanked everyone for their loyalty and dedication.

Managing Director Alexander Kosik presents a donation of 1,000 euros to Cornelia Wiedorfer-Raith andAnita-Manuela Niklaus from the Kelheim-Hohenpfahl Elementary School. With this support, they will be able to carry out wonderful projects and make purchases for the students.

We were able to recruit nine new apprentices for the new training year. Over the next few years, they will train to become plant mechanics, welders, industrial mechanics, machining mechanics, and technical product designers.A. & C. At the annual company meeting, Alexander Kosik once again had the special honor of congratulating eight employees on their company anniversaries: 10 years: Stefanie Butz, Wolfgang Karl, Christoph Hofinger25 years: Oliver Bergemann, Michaela Brunner, Jürgen Dettenkofer, Andreas Zielke40 years: Bernhard Kraus In addition, four employees were honored as they entered their well-deserved retirement:Manfred Gießmann, Stefan Landfried, Christoph Hillmeier, and Frank Schramke

In Reifenhäuser’s supplier evaluation, A. & C. Kosik GmbH was named Supplier of the Year for 2023. The company received a rating of “very good” in each of the criteria “Quality,” “Logistics,” and “Cooperation.” During the award ceremony, particular emphasis was placed on the company’s ability to maintain its quality standards even when order volumes fluctuate significantly.

Once again, we have every reason to be proud of one of our trainees:Ben Böswald is the top plant mechanic trainee in the Kelheim examination district. The Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) of Upper Palatinate/Kelheim honored him for his outstanding achievements at a ceremony held at the Jahnstadion in Regensburg. We share in his joy over this award. Congratulations, Ben! A. & C.Kosik GmbH also received a certificate for outstanding contributions to vocational training, which was accepted by our training manager, Florian Bayer.

A. & C. Kosik GmbH is donating 3,000 euros to VfL Kelheim e. V.VfL Kelheim has been a fixture in Affecking since 1955. In addition to its tennis and curling divisions, the club offers a wide range of recreational activities through its “BewegungsREICH” program. There are also plenty of activities for children and teenagers, and according to board member Tobias Müller, the donation will primarily be used to support them.

The 8th-grade class from Jakob-Ihrler-Schule in Ihrlerstein visited our facility with their teacher. After a light snack, training manager Florian Bayer introduced the company and, in particular, our apprenticeship programs. Alexander Kosik led the group through the production halls and explained the manufacturing processes. In our training workshop, the students had the opportunity to get hands-on and make their own bottle opener.

Training Manager Florian Bayer attended the career fair at Johann-Turmair-Realschule in Abensberg, accompanied by two of our trainees, Felix Huber and Joel Huber. Among other things, they explained to interested students how they learn to weld using a state-of-the-art welding simulator before moving on to actual workpieces.
