“Today’s apprentices are tomorrow’s skilled workers.” True to this motto, A. & C. Kosik GmbH has been investing in vocational training for decades. In recent years, in particular, these efforts have been stepped up: a new training program has been developed, and the training workshop has been redesigned and equipped with a media room. This year, Managing Director Alexander Kosik and the two trainers welcomed eleven new trainees. A total of 41 young people are currently undergoing training at A. & C. Kosik GmbH.

During a partner company event hosted by MiRO Mineralölraffinerie Oberrhein GmbH & Co. KG, A. & C. Kosik GmbH was presented with a certificate in recognition of its strong safety performance during the 2018 shutdown. Managing Director Alexander Kosik proudly accepted the certificate on behalf of his “team” from Mr. Ralf Schairer, Dipl. Ing., and Dr. Axel Roth.

On Girls’ Day, Eva took the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look atA. & C. Kosik GmbH and explored the role of an industrial mechanic. Together with Ludwig Niklas, she repaired a drill head on theCNC vertical lathe. Afterward, she was able to process workshop orders and pick small parts in the receiving department.

On April 11, 2018, the retirees’ get-together was held at theA. & C. Kosik GmbH company premises. Managing Director Alexander Kosik and works council members Jürgen Berger and Wolfgang Schmid welcomed the 28 retirees. During a tour of the facility, several new developments were showcased. The former Kosik employees were also impressed by the new training center. Afterward, many memories were shared over a snack in the cafeteria.

At the 2017 Safety and Quality Awards ceremony, Bayernoil Raffineriegesellschaft mbH honored A. & C. Kosik GmbH for outstanding safety and quality performance.This award is highly valued by our client and is only presented when top performance is maintained throughout the entire year. We are proud to have received this recognition once again. At the same time, we see it as an incentive to continue meeting these high safety and quality standards to the best of our ability in the future.

During the annual company meeting, Managing Director Alexander Kosik honored long-serving employees and bid farewell to three employees as they retired. With a brief speech, a certificate, and a gift, he thanked Ernst Beil for 50 years of service.In addition, Ernst Beil, along with Johann Bergemann and Dagmar Höppler, was bid farewell as they entered their well-deserved retirement. The Managing Director congratulated Mr. Wolfgang Schmid on his 40th company anniversary. Four employees can look back on 25 years of service: Ulrich Ipfelkofer, Markus Linz, Marco Mengele, and Günther Zepf. Alexander Kosik thanked five employees for 10 years of service: Daniel Gaßner, Roswitta Drexler, Benjamin Eimer, Thomas Weiß, and Dietrich Selcho.

This year, the Youth Council selected Kessel AG in Lenting as their destination. With its innovative drainage solutions, Kessel AG ensures that water is safely diverted and treated, and that properties and buildings are protected from backflow. Our trainees were warmly welcomed by trainees Anna Krieger and Philipp Baier. After a brief presentation, they toured the company. They also had the opportunity to gain a very special insight in an “experience zone”: In a separate room, scenarios such as floods were simulated to illustrate the exact functions of the components and the consequences if they were not installed or properly fitted. After a snack in the cafeteria, Florian Bayer thanked everyone for the great tour, and our trainees said goodbye with loud applause.Before heading home, the trainees had two hours of free time at Westpark in Ingolstadt.

This year, A. & C. Kosik GmbH is supporting students in Kelheim by donating 3,000 euros to Wittelsbacher Middle School. Managing Director Alexander Kosik invited the school principal, Mr. Tobias Oettl, and teachers from the 8th and 9th grades to the newly renovated training workshop at Kosik and presented the donation check. During the tour of the training workshop, Alexander Kosik and training manager Florian Bayer provided information about the new training concept. The company places great importance on its partnership with the middle school, as several students have already found their way to Kosik, whether through a trial internship or an apprenticeship to become a skilled worker.
